Jesus believed there were two forces predominantly at work on earth, one, the force He believed in, was love; the other, a force He rarely spoke of, but believed to be real, was the opposite of love- apathy, uncaring, lack of concern, and ultimately, soul killing nihilism. It is why Christian theologians get so excited against Nietzsche- for at the end of the super man, is a super colossal fall, one for which no human soul, "super" or not, can survive. The Italian's put it so marvelously when they ask the question, "Che cosa ho fatto che lei uno scherzo del mio cuore?" (very roughly translated...oh, oh, might be best for you to use that translator link?) Jesus believed in the force of love, we believe in, something else- but we rarely call it a force; and yet, isn't love precisely that? Do we make light of love? If we really examine what our motives are, they will reveal that often our motives are anything but loving, and our hearts desires, anything but loving- yet we live on- Tuttavia viviamo su, living; is it- what we think we are experiencing somewhere in the yet to come? Is that real? Living, is it in a past we often rejoice over mistakenly; our memories being flawed and shaped by our desires? Living, is it right now, as you read this and maybe realize- these moments that we have, they aren't very long, why waste them in half-baked intensity? Half hearted devotion? If you have someone that you love, if they love you, won't that be what Jesus believed in? Isn't it sad what some people will settle for? Leaving their dreams of true love and loves immense power in a street covered with memories of half desired and half lived lives? If we don't grasp hold of the powerful and heartfelt love that resides deeply and powerfully in our souls, what then will we say to Him who so believed we would learn to love?
Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
