"I am still your man Satara, I swore an oath, I will protect you, even it means I have to protect you from yourself." "The Count of Monte Cristo" - written by Alexander Dumas, famous author, probably better known for "The Three Musketeers." Dumas wrote in the late 1800's during a time when film, which would bring his writings, read in those days by thousands, to be viewed in the 21st century, by billions! So you see the difference? Dumas built much of his underpinning in his stories upon the well known small detailed actions of his heroes which gave away their real identity, Edward Dantes, the hidden Count of Monte Cristo, seeking revenge, has a small detail habit that reveals his hidden identity to his true love, now married to his very real enemy. A tell, a small, delicate, habitual thing which a person does, it identifies them as no other thing can. Because of a high I.Q., in English, when people speak, my mind finishes the sentence before they do, and I frequently, without meaning to, appear rude, by finishing their sentences for them. It is a habitual tell, that as my years tempered my ill manners, was transmuted into a small hint of laughter in my conversations that gives me away. I used to giggle slightly, which was rude beyond all forgiving, today, my lips smile before the sentence is done, as the remark will be completed in a certain way. But time has tempered the tell, yet it still remains and gives me away, no matter what mask my pride might seek to put upon it. Just as this magnificent telling of Dumas's tale as acted out by Jim Caviezel, (a master actor, who also starred in Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of Christ," and brings the art of movie tales to a new height in drama that is so spectacular), by even enacting the tell of Dantes- (yes you will need to see the movie to see this small gesture of inward habit that gives the hero away) so do you have a tell in your life; to which we must ask; can you now see what is the tell of Christ? Would we be bold beyond measure is we asked, is there a tell of God? What do you think the tell of God would be?
When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen?
