Somebody is praying...

Can life actually be a vignette and not a novel?
It always fascinates me to hear the responses of those who
claim they don't believe in God when someone says that
they will pray for them.  Especially in the midst of tragic
moments, momentous events such as births and deaths,
and life changing events; the mention of someone who
says they will pray for you, simmers the most anti-
of anti God types.  Ever notice that?  Sure you have,
but was it a vignette or the beginning of a novel?
You were expecting, something else?  Do you think
God expects something else?

Royalty - Oh My it appears...you are indeed...Royalty

Watching this massive movie, "The Kings Speech," only
served to remind me of so much that I take for granted,
which this great man could not.  My wife has always
loved the Royal's, and, I've always thought she was silly
for carrying on about them.  Now, as has become my
custom this last decade, yet another heaping helping of
"Crow."  One can only hope it's not an insult to an
otherwise noble bird.

You on the other hand, shall not get off so easily,
as it appears that the words of this King, no not
George the VI'th, but the King, Jesus, of Nazareth,
shall call you to a duty that is in line with what the
King called his noble subjects of England into when
resisting the Hitler move to encompass the world
in a nightmare of his creation.

This great movie of the struggles of one who was
very challenged to speak in public, who stammered,
is yet another reminder of how powerfully we are
set into motion by what our King, Christ, left for
us to do.  How paramountly important the task is,
and how dark the forces against such path of faith
are.  They are formidable, they are precise, they
are appearing to be scientific, and they make no
small use of diminishing the truth of their foe;
so that you will have to overcome their sad lack
of manners in almost every engagement in which
you seek to dispel into their beleagured souls
the majesty of love.

Consider yourself, as one of my faithful readers,
so charged.  Consider the prayer which Christ
answered in this charge, and consider very carefully
what it means to encourage one another in love.
You are, it appears, Royalty- and as such, you have
an enormous responsibility that somehow we must
encourage you not to shirk.  Can we rise to the
occasion together?  Can we prevent the forces of
doom and darkness from prevailing?  Jesus
made it abundantly clear that this was the reason
that He chose the cross!

2Cr 3:12
Seeing then that we have such hope,
we use great plainness of speech:

You Can Meditate and Meditation Can Help You

Five minutes, it isn't a long time, it's an elevator ride in an
enormous building downtown, it's a brief parking garage
ride, it's a transit of the park - five minutes isn't very long
at all.  Five minutes can be, however, the longest and most
important minutes of your day, if, you spend those five
minutes in meditation.  Five minutes can change your life,
make your life better, happier, more fulfilled, five
minutes.  Five minutes isn't a long time.

If you look at your watch or a clock on the wall,
choose a time to start, and literally time out five
minutes; you'll discover it's longer than you
might believe.  Separated time is different,
dedicated time is different; the time in length
is the same, always will be, set by the atomic
clock, a second is a second and minutes have
60 of them, and that's just the way it is.  When
you stop your life, for five of them, though,
something changes.

Meditation sits in the family of concentration,
thinking, and relating, they are all members of
the function of your mind that strengthens it.
Because the mental strength which is provided
by meditation is very much akin to the physical
strength gained by lifting weights, the process
is very similar as you gain mental strength.

Our Pastor at Cental Baptist Church in Springhill
Louisiana is such an outrageously gutsy man of
prayer, that the faith which meditation shows you
through insights becomes easy to pray about.  So
we began this brief time with each other about
five minutes, won't you consider giving it
a try?

Power and Truth DO Change - Us

The most remarkable thing about the truth of the power of God
is that, when God wants to get your attention, God does.
