The October challenge, find amazing parts of theology and
then each day bring one paragraph to you the reader about that.
Do you believe that Christianity will overcome every obstacle?
Do you believe that in the end of it all, Christian's win?
Do you believe that God has arranged everything so that when
all of time comes to the conclusion that it will reach; do
you believe God has Christian's in the winning place? These
questions deal with the end of time, a concept that from a
theologian's standpoint is one of the hardest to contemplate,
simply because we don't have the tools to analyze and think
about the end of time. Almost every theologian thinks on these
matters at some time, and inevitably, every theologian turns
to several different Bible based sources. In each of those
instances, they will deal with the Old Testament ( a word
which means contract or covenant) and the New Testament,
a division which naturally didn't occur in the writings,
but was inserted by interpreters based on the silence of
the last Prophet, Malachi, to the bursting upon the scene
of John the Baptist; that period is often referred to as the
silence between the testaments. Prophecy ceased, no incredible
religious happenings took place, the ritual of the worship,
continued on; those didn't stop. And so when John the Baptist
came into the wilderness preaching for those who were
hypocritical about the love of God, it was a shock- and
yet in those messages, the end, is spoken of; perhaps
you weren't aware of that? Hmm...
Mat 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees
and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them,
O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to
flee from the wrath to come?
