Recount mountain types. Recount standing at the top of the mountain and seeing other peaks, Dr. Schuler in his book, the Peek to Peak Theory, I think it's called the Peek to Peak Theory?

Peek to Peak Success something like that; Robert Schulher was such a genius; but his peek to peak, that is p e e k, to, p e a k.

Well, it's very simple. What he suggests standing at the base of the mountain, you can see the top of the mountain, and that's the peak. That's all you can see. You see that mountain now when you get up to that peak, you can look out and you see many, many other peaks. Now, that journey is how Robert Schuler described the journey of life. That is p e e k, to, p e a k.

In other words, the way of looking at life, it's okay. We arrive at peaks. Now, we had a peek at the peak before we climbed up that mountain to get to the peak. Recounting peaks means that you're not looking at the journeys involved in the peaks, you're just looking at the peaks.

Okay, let's concretize that in an example that makes sense. Take high school graduation, college graduation, earning professional awards, all of those are peaks. Now, in a life that does not have peaks, there is a tremendous difficulty, and when you're working with disciples, disciples have peaks, you have moments when things are spectacular, and those moments need to be noted, I would say, moments when you feel that tremendous closeness with Christ.

Hard to be noted. Noted in your heart noted in your mind and brought up for recount those peaks. I can name those peaks in my Christian climb. The day I was born again in Pirmasens, Germany, in my in my room, in 1976. I can recount that and know that and it's important. Because you need to lock that down, because trust me, Satan, will come after you at your point of salvation.

So when you know that day that you've made that decision as specific as you can possibly be about it, it makes it much more difficult for Satan, to put doubt in your head about it because he will try that. You can just trust me on that. Having been a Christian for 50 years, I can tell you that that was a peak.

What was another peak, was joining a church, another peak was first revival, another peak was of course, baptism is a peak. And we have peaks in our Christian walk when we've been closer to Christ.

If you remember those times of closeness, and you view them as peaks, when you recount those peaks, feel what that does for your faith?

I don't believe in just a feeling faith, but I also don't believe; I also don't believe(!) in an unfeeling faith. Let me re-emphasize that I don't just believe in a faith-based on feeling, but I also do not believe in a faith that does not have feelings. I know the feeling is very much deeply, a part of me, Jesus didn't talk in the revelation of Christ about the fact that those who were, who were apathetic toward him who were just neither hot nor cold, but Lukewarm; that he spit them out of his mouth, I call them the wet ones. He doesn't kill 'em, but they're wet, and it's nasty.

And the fact of the matter is in Christianity, in looking, and recounting peaks in Christianity, you want to look at those moments when you were closest to Christ, why(?) cause you're gonna have moments when you're not. And when you have those moments, when you're not, you need to remember those moments when you were. And I'm sure that you can see this, but if you'll make this a part of recounting, I promise you it will be helpful to you.
