Chapter One Remember

I promise you, in the future, we're going to go to video, but I'm honestly trying to spare you having to see this face. It's bad enough to get old. It's way worse to have all of these wrinkles implemented by God to humble you; anyway, Hey; that and the fact that it used to have hair, and now it just has air.
So Making disciples using a process of remembering recounting and recertifying, you could almost substitute the term retelling for recertifying?
But certify is used in the New Testament, and I thought Paul using it was just a real kind of a shocker, but a real testimonial to how thoughtful Paul had become? How about the depth of what it means to work with people in bringing them back to Jesus continually? (Galatians 1:11)
And we are really focusing in this first chapter on remembering and the fact that remembrances have an odd characteristic to them, and that characteristic is this, if you remember something in a good frame of reference.
The tendency is almost for it to be laid back into a more distant place, then those things which are not pleasant, which are like unpleasant, but they come to the forefront.
I guess what I'm saying is we tend to focus upon those things that impact most upon us emotionally, and it seems like emotionally, we're impacted on negatively the majority of the time. Now I may be mistaken about this.
It may be a mistake of my own personal perceptions, and it may be that when you have personal perceptions, they get projected onto other people from the things that you remember, you may have to listen to that again, I would hope, but that's my idea is that in remembering
You want to remember at least I want to remember The Times when I have felt Jesus closest to me, Jesus walking and walking in and my being with Him trying to be in step with Him, not walking ahead of Him, not walking behind Him, but a little bit behind Him, you never want to try to walk equal with the master, because that's not going to ever happen.
But also really isn't our goal as a Christian to try to be like Christ, it's with the realization that we cannot be like Christ so with the realization, but I want to wash His feet. I want to wash His feet. Shouldn't we want to wash each others feet? How precious is the love of Jesus?
