Think You Have More Time?

Image
History is a day by day event, when you are living it, if your life reaches the place where you develop a legacy, then it takes on whole new meanings. Imagine that, what if the life you are passing off today, as having little or no future reference, is about to be catapulted into a future of legacy? What would you do different, anything? Do you, first off, believe Issac was a real Patriarch- not just a made up name? The Old Testament is today examined for it's veracity, as nothing ever has been, so, while you might, as one of the readers of this writing believe Issac was real, I'm here to tell you that you exist in a world which increasingly says that the Patriarch's, not just Issac, are all, made up stories to give us morality lessons. Folks, I'm not making this stuff up, it is being challenged like you wouldn't believe, and that's the weirdest thing of all, because, if anybody kept a vocal history of their lineage, it was, the Jews. So do you imagine tha...

Being Enslaved

Image
Freedom is a tough issue, because, it bears the marks of pain on the backs of those who seek it. Freedom it turns out, isn't free, unless Jesus is right; in which case it is, but if that is the case, then we really should look closely at what sort of doctrine approach we take toward those who aren't able to make it on their own? Right now the approach from many Christian's is, "let the lazy so and so get a job, like me!" Which is an interesting expression of love, what that really says is, "I'm not really thrilled with that I'm doing to make my way in this world, so I want you to come join me in my miserable condition." Being honest about it, that's really what is being said, and being honest about it, that is not what Jesus said at all, and they know it. What then do we do? The hard response is, we turn to Christ and as simple as it seems, we seek His will in the matter, but here is what He will say: Jhn 6:28 Then said they unto him, ...

Why My Heart

Image
One day my friend was told he had cancer, not only the cancer but one that is vicious and kills, and isn't usually curable. Upon hearing this all I could manage was to get the car to the side of the road and sit still - my heart was crushed, my tears just flowed, there was no way to control the anguish. Those are tears of sadness, they are real tears but I have found God finds a way to turn those tears into tears of, joy. My Grandma basically raised me, my real father left when I was two, never saw him again that I know of; so Grandma raised me, when she passed over, it was an enormous blow to me; she had been the backbone of my life, someone that when everybody else said it couldn't be done, Grandma never lost faith in me, then she was no more. Those tears were tears of sadness and sorrow; and there is a bit more to that tale, for another time, but today; Grandma is in a place that I can't understand because it is loaded with love, real love- no sin- no missing the mar...

Give Away

Image
Perceptive observers of human behavior watch for something called a "tell," it is a small gesture of behavior which gives a person away, we discussed this some segments back, when we discussed "The Count of Monte Cristo," who had a tell of reaching for his hair behind his ear and twirling it; a small gesture which significantly gives him away. So it is with hidden agenda's and people who foist them upon others, they have a tell in the action; you just have to perceive it. For example one of my friends loves to play hidden power games, what these are involve a setup of communication whereby with the giving and taking of communication, my power tripping friend exerts control and gains a sense of dominance of the relationship. This isn't unusual, and people are trained today, especially in the United States, to communicate in this "in your face," method. What is unfortunate is that the Holy Spirit conflicts most heartily with this and it puts them...

Time

"Peaceful Warrior" is autobiographical which means we can argue with it, if we want to, but the dude who put it together says it's real; so, it might confound our small minds, but maybe, they needed confounding?  One of the main tenants in this great story is the effect of living in the now; Jesus said that the past is a lesson and the future doesn't exist, only today, today is what we need to focus on.  As a result, we begin to see things in a new way, the today way, it sounds corny, but in reality, it is powerful.  When you allow useless worries over things you cannot change, the past, and useless worries over things that may not get here, the future, to affect your present state of joy; you've allowed it - I hear too many people blame being negative, self centered, whining babies on Satan; he didn't steal their joy, they surrendered it to false demons of past and future before he had to!  As a result they are miserable, they are full of worry and doubt and...

How You Focus

There are no two people who are alike, according to what we've been told, the suggestion is, however, just as with snowflakes, that such may not be true.  It was discovered last year that snowflakes in fact may have a large scale repeating pattern; prior to the ability to measure immense numbers and super large scale databases, it appeared that each flake was individual and unique.  The same pattern principle may apply to the small scale DNA of the human, we simply haven't had time to finish the decoding of the human genome that has been tracked.  We know what the genetic code is, we know how it is assembled to equal certain matters, what we still have yet to generalize is the coding principle involved.  That, however, isn't far off and at that time we will have the ability to generate many types of medicines that currently are ideals- some of which, however, have already occurred; so that, in the not too distant future, medicine will be available that will li...

For The Love Of ...

Image
When I was growing up this was a saying, "for the love of Pete would you look at that," now, I never knew who Pete was, but recently have discovered someone who says this is a euphemism for Peter, or, for saying "for the love of God, " these sayings that we have, nevertheless, have love at their origin. Love is action, not, inaction. Love is caring, not, apathy. Love is doing, not thinking about doing. Love is giving, not thinking about giving. Love is sacrificing, not thinking about sacrificing. If you look carefully at the confrontations Jesus had with the Pharisees you will see love there, Jesus was saddened and righteously indignant that these great religious leaders who knew so much of the history of His Father, knew so little of the soul of Love? Oh my, let's hope He wouldn't say that of us today? So what can we do to make sure that we are keeping our hearts aligned with His? Jhn 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him tha...
