Recount 4 RRR discipling

There is a church called 2819. The pastors a fellow named, I think Philip Anthony Mitchell, I think Mitchell's on his last name there. He preaches as close to the bone about the reality of the power of God and our saviour, Jesus Christ, to forgive us, of all sins, to forgive me, of all my sins, and you, of all your sins, that we don't need to be fake with him.

We don't need to be plastic with him we don't need to be hidden with him. He came and he suffered, and he died on the cross so that you and I could have freedom to go into a prayer closet, and to talk to him about things that are real to us and things that're real to others. The day is going to come when everything that we've done will be shouted from the rooftops when I read that in the New Testament.  (Luke 12:3)

It freaked me out, man, cause personally, I thought my past was hidden my past sins were hidden all the wrongs that I had done I thought they were all hidden, nobody knew.  Little did I know they've all done him too man, we're all sinners. How are we forgiven?

By the grace of God through faith and the blood of Jesus Christ our holy sacrifice on the cross. Now the important aspect of that is this; most of the time, as we grow through life, and we learn through life, it doesn't matter what age you're at. Whatever age you're at, you are experiencing certain sins that occur with that age, they just occur with that age. Trust me at 70 one of the problems that a 70-year-old has is devotion and devotion to prayer. What some of the problems that teenagers have; have to do with socialization and how to get along and how to quit stabbing each other in the back, and then there are other more personal sins. Sin is sin means missing the mark of God.

Believe me when I share with you that we've missed the mark of God but that doesn't mean that we can't have a restored relationship with God. And when we recount the miracle of the new birth, in your life, when you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins plural, as we've discussed, that's done, that's over that's stamped. So when you sin again and you go into your closet and you say, Jesus, I lied, I lied, I lied to Mike, I shouldn't lied to Mike. Mike's gonna get hurt cause I lied, I need to make this right. Holy Spirit's going to say you know you can make it right, go and take him that money that you lie stole from him, and make it right.

Now  this is where wisdom comes in, don't just go off getting nuts about restoration and the ministry of restoring broken relationships without wisdom. And that's why we're doing this series, that's why we're talking so heavily about recounting.

Thank you for listening. Thank you for taking the time to consider that all of our sins are forgiven. So we don't need to be dishonest with Jesus about what we need to have happened in our life; so that our life; can have some release to preach the gospel. And to share the good news of Jesus, Christ with our friends and loved ones.
