Are there difficulties in following Jesus? There are; there are many difficulties in following Jesus, not to mention some that are more  and some that are less distracting and less difficult, but following Christ is never easy.

First of all, the word became flesh and dwelt among us. We take that to mean in Jesus as the incarnate. But there's a tertiary meaning to that, which is you, you're a physical being so when you read the Bible, you're reading the word Jesus is the Logos; the word; and it becomes physical when it imparts its power of truth to you, then Holy Spirit interacts with you.

So remember that one of the things that you're a part of is following Christ. You're following him through the word of God through the Bible, through the holy spirits guidance.

So it's not so easy to get off track, but we do get off track, and so one of the things we want to recount, one of the things we want to recount in awareness; is the times when we've gotten off track. That he has gently brought us back. Ah, I love pastor Giglio's sermon about; "Don't give the enemy a seat at the table," and he talks about when a sheep gets its fur wet and fast waters that the shepherd has to take that that crook of the neck of the shepherd's staff and pull that sheep out till he can get him out of the fast water cause, that fur gets heavy in that poor sheep will drown.

We get into those circumstances. We need that shepherd, we need to recount those times when that has happened, why? Because that reinforces in your faith, the actuality of the reality that yes, Jesus does come and get us and yes, we are not worthy and yes, we are bad at confession and poor in repentance, but we are what we are.

And we recertify that we try to do the best that we can do in our faith. Walking with Jesus is an act of faith, trying to get others to get back to Jesus is an act of faith, if someone is already a Christian, you don't want to take them through the salvation process over and over and over again, no, that first basic baby step is over.

So now we're talking about living which is different, think about when you were a child, your parents or your mom or your dad brought you what you needed, but as you grow into an adult, you begin to see that there are others that you can also take care of? And then realised that you're recertifying the fact that you're capable of caring for people and that you are a caring person. What would Jesus say about a person who loves Others so much that they serve them?
