Week One day 3

 How close Lord, Jesus, how close will You allow us to be? Close enough to follow a thread centuries long? By eating, sin came, in the garden(!), and by eating, sin is defeated! "Take, eat, for this is My body." We share centuries, eons, with disciples who are now with You in heaven. Every one who has ever believed in You,                                     [Luk 23:42 - Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Luk 23:43 - Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”]      You have saved! How close will You let us get? Yes, yes, that's it, isn't it, the miracle of all:  [Eze 36:27 - And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.] You are beyond wonder Lord, centuries You give us as root to a vine of miraculous power, miraculous love, miraculous life!

You Jesus, allow us, to disciple disciples? We bring them to You, Holy, powerful, life altering, life changing, almighty God, we bring them to You. Lord we follow a long line of those who have lifted the cross daily; do not let us presume that bringing the kind of change You desire, will be without cost? Open our eyes Heavenly Father, open our ears, the disciples who make disciples is centuries of devoted blood bought, bent knee Christians, solely devoted to You our King. Your command is so simple,  "Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit,and teaching them to obey everything I have  commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
(Matt 28: 18-20)
Prayer Lord is so powerfully a part of who You allow us to be. But here and now Lord You have begun this group, a set of folks, diverse in every way, yet remarkably together and unified by the very technology which You've given us, yet we may choose unwise use of? Your wisdom is what we must follow, You Holy Spirit must be Who shows us these first four. Lord it is huge what You are building, may these precious lambs not become fearful of success? You're multiplying the power You've given us to expand and grow, such growth can become impersonal, lose accountability, it's happened before:
"Amos 3:3 - Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?" Let us beware, be alert, be prayerfully protected. 

Week One Mar 11 2025

 BY JESUS! Be encouraged, be hopeful, be alert, be ready, be faithful, be devoted, be loyal, be challenged- you get the idea, don't you? Or do you? Do you believe for even a second, that your participation in the Bent Knee Tribe is accidental? Do you perhaps entertain the idea that you are too busy to hammer out a half hour? Maybe you entertain the thought that Jesus has already a ministry you are busy with, so this bent knee business isn't of Him toward you? Maybe the idea of just another "Thing" to do, tempts you to dismiss Holy Spirit calling you to disciple disciples in this Jesus energized and commanded way? Be encouraged to read on, it's five minutes Holy Spirit gives you, from eternity.

Phl 3:13 - Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,

Phl 3:14 - I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Paul is writing to Christians in Phillipi,
they were persecuted, it was hard. Yet my sense is, you get that, Christ uses these writings to speak to you? You, in America, housed, fed, electrified, televised with our internet, with unbelievable blessings, health, food, comfort; us.
Compared to Fathers who were ratted out by their own families for thirty pieces of silver, a quarter years worth of food. Fathers the Romans would soak in oil, nail to a platform on their roads, then light on fire! As they made the snitch watch? To cruel Rome they were illegal immigrants. And on Sunday, the church will gather and folks without tears in their eyes, sitting stiff necked on the pews, "Have to listen to another sermon" identifying themselves as belonging to Jesus, will think it nearly a form of persecution that they "Have" to be there? Hard soil, takes, hard prayer.
Your absolutely vital to what Holy Spirit is bringing- REVIVAL. Not of us, not scheduled, not planned, ha ha, not financed. REVIVAL, brought to YOU, courtesy, I believe of the prayers of Peter founder of church, Paul evangel of growth, faith and grace to the gentiles, John who saw all the men he loved go to Christ before him! You are in Christ's heart to disciple disciples, to pray- please don't think you aren't vital, essential, necessary, wanted, desired, loved!
Four...four...four...four...people you know who will read the Bible daily, your prayers daily. Obsecramus Christ Amen
